Louis Domingue turned aside 39 shots as the Moncton Wildcats beat the Montreal Junior 4-2 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Wednesday. Randy Cameron had a goal and an assist for Moncton (10-4-2), while Devon MacAusland, Scott Brannon and Marek Hrivik also scored. Guillaume Asselin and Eliezer Sherbatov replied for Montreal (7-7-1), while Junior goaltender Jake Allen stopped 28 shots.

Moncton Wildcats head coach Danny Flynn tried to put things into perspective. "For me, this was a hard-fought 3-3 tie on the road," he said after his club's four-game winning streak was snapped with a 4-3 shootout loss to the Saint John Sea Dogs in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action on Sunday at Harbour Station. Moncton has played six games and three of them were decided in a shootout.

Nicholas Pard helped the Saint John Sea Dogs earn a win over a provincial rival. Pard's goal in the sixth round of the shootout lifted the Sea Dogs to a 3-2 victory over the Moncton Wildcats on Sunday in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Saint John (5-2-0) took a brief lead in the sudden-death format on a goal by Jonathan Huberdeau in the second round.

The Moncton Wildcats are building early season momentum. They scored three times on the power play and extended their winning streak to four games with an impressive 4-1 victory over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action last night in front of 3,561 fans at the Centre 200. Moncton, 4-1-0-0, moved into a tie with the Saint John Sea Dogs, 4-2-0-0 and P.E.I. Rocket, 3-0-0-2, for first place in the Atlantic Division.

The first period was close checking and then we broke it open on the power play in the second period   -Danny Flynn

It didn't take goaltender Jessy Lecours long to reach his first Quebec Major Junior Hockey League milestone. Lecours stopped all 21 shots he faced in his second career QMJHL start as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies blanked the Rimouski Oceanic 4-0 on Friday night. Lecours, selected by Rouyn-Noranda in the eighth round in 2008, made the most of his first start of the season.

The Moncton Wildcats rookie left winger knows he will be in for a new experience when the club plays its regular season home opener against the Prince Edward Island Rocket on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Moncton Coliseum. "I'm anxious to step on the ice at the Coliseum," he said. "It's going to be the biggest crowd I've ever played in front of. It's going to be fun. It's going to be exciting and I can't wait."
